WHOLE BLUE LOTUS FLOWERS (Nymphaea Nouchali & Nymphaea Caerulea Hybrid)
These flowers are a hybrid of Nymphaea Nouchali native to southern and eastern parts of Asia and Nymphaea Nouchali var. Caerulea (Nymphaea Caerulea) Egyptian Blue Lotus. Both variations contain the alkaloids apomorphine and nuciferine and have a long history of medicinal and spiritual uses.

These flowers are very large, highly fragrant and range from a light sky blue to a dark blue in color.
Nymphaea Caerulea
In ancient Egypt, Nymphaea caerulea, the blue lotus of the Nile, held profound religious significance, symbolizing rebirth, the sun’s daily renewal, and the journey to the afterlife. It was intricately linked with the sun god Ra, whose daily emergence from the flower represented the cycle of life and death. Nymphaea Nouchali
Nymphaea Nouchali, the blue lotus or blue water lily, was revered in Hindu culture for its symbolic representation of purity and spiritual enlightenment. Its evening bloom was particularly significant, mirroring the soul’s journey from the material to the spiritual realm. In Hindu rituals, it was offered to gods like Vishnu and Lakshmi, symbolizing devotion and purity, and used in purification ceremonies or pujas, where its presence was believed to bring auspiciousness and divine beauty. This flower also found its place in Buddhist practices, symbolizing the path to enlightenment from the murkiness of worldly suffering.

Harvested by hand at the proper time, thoroughly cleaned, and expertly dried. Which resulted in impressively constant flowers. They are all of similar size and color.
We also hand process this material to remove unwanted dust or debris and any lower grade flowers.
Blue lotus is used by Ayurveda Health Practitioners. The extracts are used in abhyanga massage, basti treatments, the arts, and yoga.
